Honeybush is indigenous to a small mountainous region in Southern Africa, where it has been hand gathered by the Khoi and San peoples for hundreds of years. The leguminous bush has a most attractive bright yellow flower that is heavily honey scented. Deliciously sweet, Honeybush yields a rich smooth brew, similar to rooibos tea which also hails from Africa. Both honeybush and rooibos brewing instructions are to simply steep the tea for a minimum of 4 or 5 mins and enjoy!
Honeybush contains isoflavones and coumestans, dietary phytoestrogen hormones as well as flavones and xanthenes. Honeybush tea also contains many minerals and vitamins.
