You can Use Pau d'arco in different ways for unique flavors and tastes:
Mint Pau d'arco
Once the tea has been brewed according to the basic pau d'arco recipe and is cooling down and a twig of fresh mint or a slightly heaping teaspoon of dried mint to 1 to 1.5 liters/quarts. Although this is a recipe for cold tea it is also delicious while still warm.
Lemon Pau d'arco
Add the juice of one to two lemons from organic culture, and grate some of the peel into the tea, sweeten with a little stevia.
Apple Pau d'arco
Add a good handful of dried apple pieces that have been cut down to size to 1-1.5 liters/quarts of the tea while its still hot, together with a vanilla pod and put in a cool place. Drink warm or at room temperature. To vary you can also add cinnamon if you wish.
Winter buster Pau d'arco
Prepare the tea according to the basic pau d'arco recipe then add 2 pinches of dried ginger root, a pinch of cayenne pepper and the juice of a whole organic lemon per liter/quart of the pau d'arco tea. Drink Warm.
Pau d'arco a la Creme (for sweet tooth's)
While the tea is still hot add a whole vanilla pod that has been squeezed out, together with a heaping teaspoon of candied organic orange and lemon peel and a few cloves. Decorate with whipped cream before serving!
May also sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
Fruity Pau d'arco
Prepare the pau d'arco tea according to the basic pau d'arco recipe. When it has cooled down to drinking temperature add one quarter of a liter/quart organic cherry juice. Good warm or cold, can also be decorated with a spot of whipped cream and some grated almonds or other nuts.
Juicy Pau d'arco
For an easy taste change mix the basic pau d'arco recipe with apple or orange juice, serve warm or cold.
Brazilian Special Pau d'arco
Prepare the basic pau d'arco recipe only instead of using water use dry white wine. After it has cooled down mix with a little orange juice to your desired taste.
